Boost for businesses now available with government funding up to $7500

Businesses with five or fewer employees can now apply for substantial grants to pay for professional advice. Through the State Government’s Business Basics Grants Program, eligible businesses can receive up to $7,500 without the need for a co-contribution.

This funding provides a valuable opportunity to tap into expert guidance, helping business owners make informed decisions, enhance operations, and drive business growth.

These grants are generally exhausted quickly so we recommend preparing early. Registration of Interest applications close on Friday 11 October 2024.

Grant eligibility

To be eligible for this grant, a business must meet the following criteria:

  • have fewer than 5 employees (headcount);
  • have an active Australian Business Number (ABN);
  • have a registered Queensland headquarters location;
  • have a minimum trading history of 1 year;
  • a maximum turnover of $300,000 for the last financial year (2023/2024);
  • not have been approved for funding under an earlier Business Basics round; and
